Leo Heritage Trail & Muskoka Wharf Walk
185 Cherokee LAnE, Gravenhurst
2km In & Back (4km return) Combined
Park at the steamships on Cherokee Lane
This is a great trail for those who are looking for a smooth path, like those fresh off knee surgery, pushing a stroller, or new to biking
The Muskoka Wharf boardwalk takes you along lake Muskoka so you can check out the steamships, shops and restored shoreline
The Leo Heritage section wanders through a wetland area and up through the forest beside granite walls
Fun fact: “Leo” is a shout out to the local Lion’s Club
Extra-fun fact: The LH Trail used to be the rail line that trains would use to transport tourists and goods produced by the 15 sawmills (plus the boat builders!) that used to operate here back in the “Sawdust City” days
