130 Beaumont Drive, Bracebridge

5km (10km return) with shorter sections throughout

  • Each section has a different local name, but it’s all connected: Kerr Park/Bracebridge Wastewater Ponds/Henry Road Reserve/Chickadee Trail/Bert Cross Family Nature Reserve//Strawberry Point Trail

  • From Kerr Park, it’s 2.3km (ish) to Henry Road, so under 5km round trip... or longer if you all the way to the end of Strawberry Point, or shorter if you don’t do Chickadee. Basically, you’ve got options.

  • Parking at Kerr Park (or Henry Road or Strawberry Bay Road, if you prefer)

  • We recommend starting at Kerr Park. Head out behind the dog park and stay straight to follow the first wastewater pond back to the second pond behind it, where you turn right to follow the trail across the gas line clearing and into the woods - it’s easy from there.

  • So many turtles in spring!!!! In mid-April we counted 35, both snapping and painted, with tons in the wastewater ponds, but definitely in the trailside water beyond too.

  • Feed the chickadees in winter!! There are even seed stations you can grab seed from in the Chickadee Trail section that are stocked periodically, especially in winter.
