2346 Highway 169, Torrance

3, 5 & 8km loops

  • Park in the lot and follow the trail signs. The green and black loops are pretty easy to follow, but the east-side blue area has been known to turn people around a bit

  • This place is stupid-popular right now, but for good reason: The forest is bright, the lakes have a special shine and the rocks might just have restorative powers. Anything is possible at this sanctuary.

  • The 8km loop has an old building foundation and two fun bridges that make it worth the extra steps

  • The fall colours in here are what used to bring the crowds (totally makes sense), but now a Tuesday morning in Feb can be crowded, so be ready to share the trail
